Saguaro National Park
Saguaro National Park is one of Arizona’s most visited parks. Part of the United States National Parks System, Saguaro National Park covers nearly 100,000 acres. Comprised of two parts, Saguaro National Park East and Saguaro National Park West, the parks are located 15 and 20 minutes away from downtown Tucson, Arizona.
Saguaro National Park serves as a refuge of the Giant Saguaro the universal symbol or Arizona. A Giant Saguano cactus can live up to 200 years. You can learn more about Giant Saguanos here. In the Eastern Saguaro, you can visit Rincon Mountain, which rises to more than 8,000 feet and features 130 miles of trails. In fact the saguaro national park trails are one of the many reason people come to this special Arizona park. Some visitors even choose to camp out. Western Tucson Mountain generally lower in elevation and features the legendary a desert saguaro forest.
